Drilling Rotary Hose is the flexible high pressure line that connects the top of the drilling riser (standpipe) to the vertically moving swivel, and the mud pump discharge line to the standpipe. It absorbs installation tolerance, isolates vibration and delivers water based or oil based mud at high pressure, with hydrogen sulfide (H2S) resistance for hostile well conditions.
Built up from an inner tube (or stainless steel armored inner tube), a carbon fiber reinforcement layer, a middle rubber layer, a steel wire reinforcement layer (steel chain wire reinforcement layer) and a carbon fiber outer cover. The composite structure keeps the hose dimensionally stable under pulsating pressure while remaining flexible at low temperature.
