40l 4 head automatic jerry can filling machine


1. Introduction

GZ18-4BS 40l 4 head automatic jerry can filling machine is designed for 18-40L small hole containers chemical liquid filling, which is gravimetric type. When operating, place the empty containers on the chain-board conveyor, start the filling line, then the filling machine will execute the following automatic process: empty containers infeed, positioning, quick and slow filling while weighing, filled containers outfeed and bunging and sealing. There are three type stations in the filling house. The empty containers first move to the wait-filling station four at a time and perform auto positioning. Then the containers are pushed onto the weighing platform (filling position) and get tared, four filling nozzles move 20mm down below the bunghole, the bottom valves open and filling starts. After quick and slow filling, the valves close when reaching certain amount (four empty containers moving to the wait-filling station in the meanwhile) and four filled containers are pushed to the container outfeed chain-board conveyor (four empty containers moving to the weighing platform and start filling in the meanwhile). Leaving the filling house, the filled containers are automatically bunged and sealed, and then reach the finished containers wait-palletizing free roller conveyor. Manually place the finished containers on the pallet.
 

2. Filling nozzle

The filling nozzle is made of S304 and employs below-bunghole filling. The filling nozzle adopts metal-sealed bottom valve, compression-type shaft seal and UNIQUC air cylinder with an anti-drip catch, which ensures zero drip and filling accuracy.

3. Interlock security system

In addition, the filling machine has a safety interlock system. When the jerry can is not in the right position or the filling nozzle does not go through the bunghole, the filling valve would not open or start filling; when the filling nozzle touches the can surface, it would retract automatically. 

4. Weighing system

The weighing system is composed of a TRANSCELL sealed stainless steel load cell with nitrogen purging, a junction box and a low weighing platform, featuring IP68 protection level. In addition, TOLEDO or UNIPLUS weighing instruments are installed with the control cabinets, indicating the container weight at real time.

5. Chain-board conveyors and roller conveyor

There are 5 parts conveyors used in the system: empty cans infeed chain-board , wait-filling chain-board , filled cans outfeed chain-board , filled cans sealing chain-board, and filled cans undriven roller conveyor. Apart from the filled cans conveyor, all the other conveyors used are driven chain-board conveyors equipped with gear motors. The length of the conveyor is adjustable according to the site space, the height is 600mm and also adjustable.

Peripheral Equipment

1. Palletizing system (Optional for manual, machinery or robot type)

The filling line is assessed with a palletizing system, which facilitates the filled containers discharge. After arriving the palletizing conveyor, the user can choose to apply manual or automatic palletizing. The pictures below shows the machinery palletizing, while the robot palletizing is another option. The pallet with filled jerry cans would move to the wait-shovel roller way waiting for forklift, in the meanwhile the pallet magazine would release an empty pallet. The pallitizer is operated repeatedly.

2. Capping machine

The system is equipped with an pneumatic lid capping machine, which could perform lid capping  and anti-fake lid capping. When the filled cans are moved under the capping machine, the system would automatically cap and seal the cans.

3. Labelling machine

Similar to the capping machine, the system can be equipped with the labelling machine on the two sides of the filled cans outfeed chain-board conveyor, facilitating sticking the required labels on the container body. This machine is accessed as per user requirement.
