Fluidized bed dryers are efficient, continuous drying equipment that is suitable for drying a variety of materials. However, for certain types of materials, such as food materials that are prone to agglomeration, the use of fluidized bed dryers may be limited. This is because the working principle of fluidized bed dryers relies on high-speed airflow to suspend and dry material particles. For food materials that are prone to agglomeration, if the particle size is too small, it is easy to be entrained by the airflow; if the particle size is too large, it is not conducive to the full drying. In addition, if several materials are mixed together for fluidized bed drying, the relative densities of these materials need to be close, otherwise the particles with low relative density are easy to be entrained by the airflow, which will also affect their degree of drying. Materials with too high water content and easy to agglomerate are generally not suitable for drying using fluidized bed dryers. Materials that are prone to walling and agglomeration are prone to equipment walling and bed blocking during the vulcanization drying process. Due to the intense longitudinal mixing of materials inside the fluidized bed dryer, for single-stage continuous drying, the uneven residence time of materials in the equipment may cause the product to be discharged unevenly. Therefore, for food materials that are prone to agglomeration, the use of fluidized bed dryers may be subject to some restrictions.
