Description:
The disc dryer is a continuous conductive drying equipment widely used in industries such as food, and inorganic salts for dehydrating granular, powdered, and paste-like materials. The core components of the equipment include multiple layers of hollow heated discs, a main shaft with stirring paddles, a frame, a heat source system, and a dust collection unit. Steam or thermal oil is circulated through the internal channels of the discs to provide conductive heating, eliminating the need for large volumes of hot air and achieving high thermal efficiency.
Material flows downward layer by layer onto the heated disc surfaces. The paddles gently push and spread the material evenly, turning it frequently to ensure full contact with the disc surface for efficient heat transfer. Moisture continuously evaporates and volatilizes, while exhaust gas passes through simple dust removal before discharge, minimizing fine material loss. The entire system operates in a closed environment and can function under both atmospheric and vacuum conditions, making the vacuum model ideal for heat-sensitive or easily oxidized materials.
All parts in contact with the material are made of stainless steel. The compact design occupies minimal space and consumes significantly less energy compared to hot-air fluidized bed dryers. Continuous and controllable feeding and discharging allow adjustable drying temperature and residence time, ensuring stable and uniform moisture content in the final product. The equipment is easy to operate, produces low dust emissions, and avoids significant material loss due to hot air carryover. It is well-suited for large-scale, continuous drying of high-value, easily airborne materials, making it a leading energy-efficient and environmentally friendly static conductive drying solution.
