Print Substrate

Q: Can red patterns printed on a red T-shirt achieve a perfectly seamless color match?
A: They can achieve a high degree of integration but will not be completely "invisible." Our red ink offers high color purity, allowing patterns to appear natural on fabrics of similar hues. However, upon close inspection, subtle differences in texture and sheen may still be noticeable. If a completely seamless effect is desired, we recommend using techniques such as cut-out or localized transfer designs.
Q: When printing large solid red areas over extended periods, will the color gradually become lighter?
A: No significant fading in color density will occur. The ink formula incorporates dynamic viscosity stabilization technology to ensure consistent pigment output during continuous printing. If color lightening is observed, it is typically related to printhead condition, negative pressure system performance, or unevenness of the white base layer. We recommend first checking the equipment's operational status.
Q: Will red ink printed on a white sweatshirt take on a pinkish tone after washing?
A: No. Our red pigment is treated to resist hydrolysis and maintains its true red hue after bonding with fibers. If a pinkish tint appears after washing, it is usually due to the leaching of optical brighteners from the fabric itself or high water hardness in the local area, not related to the ink's colorfastness.
Q: Can I mix other colors directly into this red ink to create shades like burgundy or orange-red?
A: We strongly advise against direct mixing in the ink bottle or supply system. The correct method is to perform digital color mixing through color management software using a CMYK separation mode. Physical mixing can disrupt the chemical balance of the ink, potentially causing coagulation and clogging in the ink supply system.
Q: Is red ink more sensitive to heat transfer temperatures?
A: Yes, red pigment is relatively sensitive to excessive heat. We recommend keeping the transfer temperature within the range of 150–160°C. Excessively high temperatures may shift the red hue toward orange and compromise the elasticity of the ink layer. We advise conducting small-sample tests at different temperatures before full-scale use to determine the optimal parameters.
Q: Is this red ink suitable for printing on firefighting gear or safety labels?
A: It is suitable for pattern printing, but please note: while the ink itself offers excellent color fastness, meeting specialized standards for long-term reflectivity, resistance to extreme environments, or flame retardancy required for professional safety labels also depends on using certified specialty fabrics and appropriate post-treatment processes. The ink itself does not carry functional certifications.
