A horizontal tunnel core drill rig is a specialized drilling system engineered for extracting intact rock core samples from boreholes drilled horizontally or at shallow angles in tunnel faces, sidewalls, and underground excavations. Unlike conventional vertical or inclined drill rigs, this equipment is optimized for horizontal orientation, enabling geological investigation directly ahead of or adjacent to the tunnel alignment.

Key Design Features:
Horizontal Drilling Capability: The rig is configured with a low-profile, extended feed frame and a rotary head mounted on a carriage that travels horizontally. It is designed to maintain accurate borehole direction and alignment over long distances, often using a wireline or conventional core barrel system.
Compact & Modular Construction: To fit within confined tunnel cross-sections, the rig features a modular, skid- or track-mounted design. It can be positioned close to the tunnel face and easily maneuvered in tight spaces.
Hydraulic or Electric Power System: Most horizontal tunnel core drill rigs utilize a hydraulic power pack for variable speed and torque control, allowing adaptation to different rock hardness and formation conditions. An electric option is also common for cleaner operation in ventilation-sensitive environments.
Core Sampling Efficiency: Equipped with high-torque rotation and a steady feed system, it can achieve high core recovery rates even in fractured or faulted rock. Triple-tube core barrels and water flush systems are often employed to preserve sample integrity.
Primary Applications:

3.How is the shipment? How long dose it take?
A: For large quantity or heavy products, we ship by sea shipping or land shipping.
Shipping efficiency depends on country and city you want to ship to.
For small and delicate products, we ship by DHL, UPS, Fedex or TNT. You can also appoint shipping method you like before we ship.
