The sprockets should be replaced at the same time as the rubber tracks. If you install new sprockets on old rubber tracks, it can cause premature failure because the alignment of the drive teeth and track links will not line up properly. The track will end up sliding up and down on the drive teeth instead of gently applying the proper torque to rotate the track. We always recommend installing the rubber tracks and sprockets at the same time to extend the life of both components.
