201 stainless steel plate is an austenitic stainless steel material that uses manganese and nitrogen instead of nickel.
Composition characteristics
The main chemical components include carbon (C) ≤ 0.15, silicon (Si) ≤ 0.75, manganese (Mn) 5.5 - 7.50, chromium (Cr) 16.0 - 18.0, nitrogen (N) ≤ 0.25, nickel (Ni) 3.50 - 5.50, phosphorus (P) ≤ 0.060, sulfur (S) ≤ 0.030. Manganese and nitrogen replace the more expensive nickel element to a certain extent, reducing production costs, but also making its performance different from stainless steel with a higher nickel content.
 

Features:

 
Corrosion resistance:
201 stainless steel plate has certain acid and alkali resistance, and can maintain good stability in relatively mild corrosive environments, such as atmosphere, water, and some common chemicals. However, compared with high-quality stainless steel such as 304, its corrosion resistance is relatively weak, especially in some strong corrosive media or harsh environments, rust and corrosion may occur.
 
High density:
The material density is high, which makes it have a larger mass under the same volume and a denser structure.
 
Processing performance:
It has good processing performance and can be made into products of different shapes and specifications through various processing methods such as cold rolling, hot rolling, stretching, bending, and stamping to meet various application requirements. For example, it can be processed into stainless steel plates, stainless steel pipes, stainless steel bars, etc.
 
Surface quality:
After surface treatment such as polishing, good surface finish can be obtained, without defects such as bubbles or pinholes, beautiful appearance, and can be used for decorative purposes.
 
Magnetic properties:
Under normal circumstances, 201 stainless steel plate will have certain magnetism after cold processing, but the magnetism is weak. However, if it undergoes special heat treatment or processing, its magnetic properties may change.
High temperature oxidation resistance:
