Silicone rubber offer excellent compression set in extreme heat or cold. Under well-defined diameter, single wire seal can creat a good sealing. The difference between the outer diameter of the seal and the cavity diameter generates a radial compression of the rubber element and the consequent sealing pressure at the interface.
Self-lubricating silicone cable seal can facilitate the wire pass through the seal during the automatic crimping process and reduce the force and risk of damage when the seal element is inserted in the cavity of the connector housing.
