UL2556 and UL94 Wire and Cable Horizontal and Vertical Flame Test Apparatus for VTM VW-1 and FT-2 Testing
1. Introduction
Wire and cable flame test apparatus is designed according to UL94, UL1581 and UL2556, it is applied to test the resistance of a wire, cable or cord to the horizontal and vertical propagation of the flame (VTM, VW-1, FT-1 and FT-2 classifaction). The flammability test uses a bunsen burner of a specified size (inside diameter of 9.5±0.3mm, length of 100±10mm) and specified gas source (methane or natural gas) to ignite the horizontal or vertical specimen for several times in a certain flame height and a certain flame angle, the fire hazard is evaluated by damage length of the specimen, ignition of the cotton, percentage of the indicator flag burned away or charred, time of flaming of the specimen to self-extinguish.
The wire and cable horizontal and vertical flame test apparatus is controlled by single chip and push button. The test apparatus is built-in low-noise air exhaust to remove all the smoke from the chamber. The front panel is made by military-grade explosion-proof glass and transparent for easy observation of the experimental process, and the shell is made by coated hardness steel. Fully independent electrical circuit and gas circuit design for safer use.
