4. Introduction
Cord retention testing apparatus is designed according to the IEC60884-1 clause 23.2 figure 20. It is used to check the effectiveness of the retention of the cable by the cord anchorage. It’s applied to the removable plug, removable mobile socket, non-rewirable plug, rewirable mobile socket. the flexible cable is subjected 100 times to a pull of 50N/60N/80N/100N, and the pulls are applied practically without jerks 1 time/s.
