The pneumatic PLC control experimental device is based on the requirements of general textbooks such as "Hydraulic and Pneumatic Transmission" and "Pneumatic Control Technology," incorporating suggestions from faculty and students in the field. This meticulously designed and seamlessly integrated with a programmable logic controller (PLC) allows for the effective application of pneumatic principles and automatic control theory. In addition to conducting routine basic pneumatic control circuit experiments, this device can also simulate pneumatic control technology application experiments, conduct pneumatic technology course design, and facilitate the study and basic application of programmable logic controllers (PLCs). It is a valuable experimental device for mechatronics majors.
This system is suitable for teaching experiments in courses such as "Hydraulic and Pneumatic Transmission," "Pneumatic Control Technology," and "PLC Principles and Applications" offered by mechanical engineering, mechatronics, and automation majors in universities, colleges, and vocational schools. It also serves as a comprehensive experimental platform for the integration of mechanics, electronics, and pneumatics. Through hands-on experiments and course design, students can gain a more accurate and intuitive understanding of the structure of pneumatic components, the control principles of pneumatic circuits, and design methods. Through experiments, students can also master the functions, control principles, and programming techniques of PLCs.
The pneumatic PLC control experiment bench primarily consists of a lab table and experimental stand, pneumatic components, electrical control devices, and programmable controller (PLC) components.
The lab table and experimental stand utilize a single-sided design, meaning one set of experimental equipment per table allows two groups of students to conduct experiments simultaneously, sharing resources and improving usability. The overall structure is simple, allowing for flexible installation and disassembly, and is highly practical. The pneumatic experimental components utilize a movable plug-in mechanism, allowing for simultaneous execution of one or more experiments. The required air source and AC/DC power supply are fixed, requiring only simple connections to complete the experiment setup.
DC 24V (2A) power supply unit (as shown in Figure 1-2), PLC (Mitsubishi FX1S-20MR), PLC electrical control input unit, PLC electrical control output unit, relay control unit, limit switch (normally closed, normally open).
Pneumatic systems are generally composed of the simplest basic circuits. Although the basic circuits are the same, different combinations of them can result in different system performance. Therefore, to design a high-performance pneumatic system, familiarity with each basic circuit is essential. Through long-term production practice, some commonly used typical circuits have been identified, and these circuits are also very useful in pneumatic system design.
Basic pneumatic circuits are the fundamental components of a pneumatic system. Basic circuits are divided into the following categories according to their functions: reversing control circuit, pressure control circuit, speed control circuit, position control circuit, and basic logic circuit.
