Q1: What is the difference between DR and DRG on A4VSO pumps?
A1: DR has a mechanical spring adjustment only — pressure is changed by turning the screw. DRG includes a pilot port X so the pressure setpoint can be remotely increased by applying pilot pressure, in addition to the spring preload. This enables centralized or automated pressure control.
Q2: Can DRG be used without pilot pressure connected?
A2: Yes. Without pilot pressure on port X, the pump regulates to the spring-adjusted base pressure. Applying pilot pressure raises the effective set pressure up to the max allowed by the spring range.
