A1: Yes. An external proportional amplifier (e.g. Rexroth VT-series) or a PLC analog output card is required to supply and monitor the command signal to the EO2 solenoid. Confirm whether your version includes onboard electronics.
Q2: Can EO2 replace a flow control valve?
A2: It allows you to set pump flow electronically, reducing dependence on separate flow control valves for basic regulation. Precision motion or pressure-compensated flow to individual actuators may still benefit from secondary valving.
Q3: Is the A4VSO125 suitable for closed-circuit track drives?
A3: No. The A4VSO series is for open circuit (open loop) only. For closed-loop travel/wheel drives, use the A4VG or A4VM series.
