The A10VSO71DR variant features a pressure cutoff (DR control) mechanism. When system pressure reaches the preset cutoff value, the pump reduces its displacement to maintain constant pressure, minimizing energy consumption. Contrary to some misconceptions, the swashplate does not always return to the minimum angle; it adjusts dynamically based on flow demand while sustaining pressure.
