Pxie ‑ 4353 contains higher accuracy and synchronization functions, and is an ideal choice for a measurement system with scalable channel number (from low channel number to high channel number). The high accuracy of the module is mainly attributed to the Ni TB ‑ 4353 constant temperature junction box, which can optimize the thermal conductivity between the thermocouple terminal and the cold end compensation (CJC) channel. Pxie ‑ 4353 has two automatic zero adjustment channels for offset compensation and thermocouple open circuit detection for identifying thermocouple disconnection.
The NI PXIe 4353 has the voltage measurement range of ±80 mV. The value for the differential input impedance of the instrument is 20 mega-ohms. The typical value for DC linearity is 20 ppm. It has the maximum value of 60 ppm.
The instrument implements an open thermal couple detection feature for measurements, which is software selectable. The user can select it for each module. The input current in OTD enabled mode is 17 Nano-amperes, while the value in OTD disabled mode is 400 Pico-amperes. The National Instruments PXIe-4353 Temperature Input Module offers a full NIST temperature range.
The NI device weighs 4.9 oz, and measures 6.3 x 3.9 in. in physical dimensions. It has a recommended operating temperature range of 0 °C to 55 °C, and a storage temperature range of -40 °C to 71 °C. The NI device has a recommended warm-up time of 15 minutes, and should be calibrated at least once a year.
