The AD8553 is a precision instrumentation amplifier featuring low noise, rail-to-rail output, and an energy-saving shutdown mode. It also exhibits low offset voltage and drift, alongside a high common-mode rejection ratio. In shutdown mode, the total supply current can be reduced to below 4 μA. The AD8553 operates from a supply voltage ranging from 1.8 V to 5.5 V. With an offset voltage as low as 20 μV, an offset drift of 0.1 μV/°C, and a voltage noise of just 0.7 μV peak-to-peak (0.01 Hz to 10 Hz), it is ideally suited for applications intolerant of error sources. Applications such as precision instruments, position and pressure sensors, medical equipment, and strain gauge amplifiers benefit from its low noise, low input bias current, and high common-mode rejection ratio. Its compact size and low cost make it highly suitable for high-volume applications.
