1. Basic Product Information
(1) Core Parameters
Model Specification: Stainless Steel Elliptical Dished Head with Reduced Opening EHA1050×6 (SUS304/SUS316L), featuring high strength and corrosion resistance, suitable for medium and large pressure-bearing equipment.
Dimension Details: Standard inner diameter 1050mm, compatible with medium and large storage tanks and pressure vessels in chemical, new energy and other fields; the size of the reduced opening can be customised (ranging from 80mm to 250mm) to meet the installation needs of pipes, valves and inspection ports. CNC machining ensures the concentricity tolerance of the opening is ≤ ±0.8mm, guaranteeing seamless assembly with other components; diameter tolerance is controlled within ≤ ±1.5mm through precision cutting, meeting the strict assembly standards of pressure-bearing equipment.
Thickness Specification: Nominal thickness 6mm, optimising load-bearing while ensuring structural stability, suitable for working pressures of 0.2MPa-12MPa, applicable to medium and low-pressure storage tanks, reactors and other scenarios; relying on high-quality stainless steel base materials, the thickness deviation is ≤ 0.4mm, avoiding stress concentration caused by uneven thickness and extending the service life of the product.
(2) Material Selection
Mainstream stainless steel materials: SUS304 (versatile, corrosion-resistant at room temperature, suitable for food and pharmaceutical fields), SUS316L (resistant to strong acids and alkalis, anti-intergranular corrosion, applicable to chemical and marine environments).
All stainless steel materials are sourced from certified suppliers (such as Taiyuan Iron and Steel, Baosteel), with complete Material Test Certificates (MTC) provided to ensure quality traceability.

Excellent Corrosion Resistance: The dense oxide film on the stainless steel surface can resist corrosion from the atmosphere, acid and alkali media, especially suitable for the storage of food-grade media and chemical reagents, avoiding medium contamination and meeting the requirements of harsh working conditions.
Integrated Reduced Opening Design: The integrated reduced opening eliminates the need for secondary welding of pipe connections, reducing the risk of leakage and simplifying the equipment assembly process; at the same time, it avoids the impact of welding stress on the 封头 structure, improving the overall pressure-bearing safety.
High Strength and Stability: The stainless steel material itself has excellent mechanical properties. Combined with the elliptical structural design, it can evenly disperse the internal pressure of the equipment, enhance the overall pressure resistance, and adapt to the long-term operation of medium and large equipment.
3. Forming and Surface Treatment
(1) Forming Process
Cold Forming: Cold forming is preferred for 6 mm-thick stainless steel plates, which avoids thermal deformation and maintains the original mechanical properties of the material. With the precise pressure control of a 1000-ton hydraulic press, the formed surface is smooth without defects such as cracks and wrinkles.
Hot Forming: For stainless steel with a thickness of≥12mm or high-strength alloys, hot forming is adopted. The heating temperature is controlled at 850℃-1050℃ (adjusted according to the alloy type). After forming, stress relief annealing is carried out to reduce internal stress and ensure dimensional stability.
(2) Surface Treatment
Chemical Polishing: Achieves a surface roughness of Ra ≤ 1.6μm, reducing medium adhesion and facilitating cleaning, suitable for food and pharmaceutical hygiene requirements.
Electrolytic Polishing: Creates a mirror effect (Ra ≤ 0.8μm), improving surface finish and corrosion resistance, combining aesthetics and practicality.
Passivation Treatment: For stainless steel heads used in the chemical industry, passivation strengthens the surface oxide film, enhancing resistance to harsh media.
Customised Treatment: Sandblasting (Ra 1.6μm-3.2μm), wire drawing and other surface processes can be provided on demand to meet specific appearance or functional requirements.
4. Inspection Standards
Ultrasonic Testing (UT): 100% coverage of the head and body to detect internal inclusions, air holes and other defects, eliminating structural hidden dangers.
Penetrant Testing (PT): Aiming at the non-ferromagnetic characteristics of stainless steel, it detects surface and near-surface cracks and pinholes to prevent leakage.
Dimensional Inspection: High-precision callipers and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) are used to verify key parameters such as diameter, thickness and reduced opening size, ensuring compliance with design standards.
Pressure Testing: Sampling pressure tests of 1.5 times the rated pressure are conducted to verify the pressure-bearing capacity and sealing performance of the head.
Visual Inspection: Check the surface for scratches, dents and unevenness to ensure the appearance is flat and flawless.
