The roller shell is manufactured from 45# seamless steel pipe or alloy steel and undergoes complete heat treatment to maintain geometry when chilled water flows through at production speeds. An internal double wall spiral flow channel guides cooling water in a continuous spiral path, ensuring uniform heat removal across the entire working surface and preventing hot spots and temperature variations that cause film sticking, surface gloss inconsistencies, and uneven embossing depth.

Applications
This chill embossing roller is suitable for film casting lines processing CPP, BOPP precursor sheet, and PET film; sheet extrusion lines for PVC and polycarbonate; and lamination lines where a chilled steel roller sets the surface finish of composite webs. It also serves textile coating and non-woven calender lines requiring temperature-controlled rollers at finishing stations. The combination of spiral water cooling and precision-machined faces makes it ideal for optical film polishing, embossed film texturing, and release paper casting, where uniform temperature is critical for first-grade output. For processes with hot films prone to sticking, chrome-plated faces with fine release finishes can be specified alongside internal cooling circuits, providing integrated temperature and surface quality control.
Packaging & Quality Assurance
Each chill roller undergoes flushing, drying, and anti-rust protection before the face is film-wrapped and the roller is secured in a wooden crate with protective end caps. Rotary joints and accessories are packed separately in export-grade cartons.
