The roller body is manufactured from 45# seamless steel pipe or alloy steel that undergoes welding, stress relieving, tempering, and quenching heat treatment stages, creating a stable cylindrical core capable of maintaining precise tolerances at production speeds.
A dedicated gravure cell pattern, mesh count, and cell depth are machined and engraved according to your specific coating material, coating amount, base substrate, and line speed requirements, ensuring the roller delivers the exact transfer volume your application demands. After engraving, the complete surface is hard chrome plated and polished to a mirror finish, which reduces friction between the doctor blade and roller face, extends blade life, and facilitates faster routine cleaning as coating residue releases more easily from the dense plated surface.
The roller also supports solvent-free cleaning, reducing chemical consumption and improving workshop safety.

The roller is equally suitable for surface embossing duties on plastic sheet, leather imitation products, and non-woven materials where a smooth, polished face is required to avoid marking the web.
