The 1060nm wavelength’s specific affinity for adipose tissue, coupled with minimal absorption in the dermis, allows SculpSure to efficiently treat areas of troublesome fat in just 25 minutes per treatment. Over time, the body naturally eliminates the disrupted fat cells with results seen as quickly as 6 weeks, and optimal results usually seen in as few as 12 weeks.
SculpSure is FDA approved for fat reduction under the chin and on the abdomen, flanks, and inner and outer thighs. However, patients have virtually tried it all over the body.
SculpSure is extremely convenient as it only takes 25 minutes from start to finish and can destroy up to 24% of treated fat cells without surgery. Because the treatment is so easy, most patients will do multiple areas during a visit to the office to optimize there time and body contour.
We tell patients that each treatment area is about the size of four smartphones. The fun part of this is really figuring the configuration for each patient. Of course, every patient's body will be differently sized meaning that each formation of the handpieces will be different.
On average, most patients will need 2-3 treatments spread 4-6 weeks apart. Depending on the patient and amount of fat cells in that specific area- this can vary.
Some Patients have expressed seeing benefits in as soon as 2 weeks after the procedure. We recommend waiting a full 12 weeks after your last treatment to see your final result as it can take your body that long to rid itself of the destroyed fat cells.
Although 24% of fat cells in each individual are a lot of cells, it generally doesn’t relay over to a specific number of pounds. We do recommend pairing your treatment course with a healthy diet and exercise plan which can take results and weight loss to another level.
Most patients feel a tingling sensation intermittently throughout the treatment which is generally well-tolerated. For those who are concerned with the sensation we do offer a form of laughing gas that can be administered during the procedure to make the Patient more comfortable if necessary.
SculpSure uses a patented warming technology to melt and destroy unwanted fat cells. The heat comes in waves over the 25-minute treatment period making it quite comfortable. However, it is normal to feel slight tenderness in the area that was treated after SculpSure. Most patients compare this sensation to muscle soreness after a hard work out (very satisfying actually). This generally can last 5-7 days post-procedure.
