Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS): Also called peripheral nerve thick fiber electrical stimulation therapy, it is a non-invasive treatment method focusing on the treatment of pain. A continuous, balanced two-way waveform is generated by the instrument, generally a deformed square wave. The frequency is generally 1~150Hz, and the pulse width is adjustable from 0.04~0.5ms. The micro-control processing unit controls the boost circuit to boost the voltage and powers the stimulation circuit according to the pulse set by the software. The stimulation circuit outputs the required treatment waveforms to the electrode pads under the control of the micro-control unit. The electrode sheet is in direct contact with the human body to generate electrical stimulation to the treatment part of the human body, and at the same time feed back the nerve unit to the microcontroller.
Most migraine headaches involve the human body's largest and most complex cranial nerve-the trigeminal nerve. The branch of the eye nerve-the frontal nerve-the supraorbital nerve, passes through the supraorbital notch and is distributed on the top of the frontal skin.
Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation is used to treat TENS. The trigeminal nerve is stimulated by sending weak electrical pulse signals through self-adhesive electrodes located on the forehead, thereby reducing the frequency and intensity of migraine attacks.
Foreign literature proves that the use of TEN therapy can block migraine attacks within 60 minutes, and preventive treatment of 20 minutes a day for 60 days can reduce the frequency and intensity of migraine symptoms.
