The Olympus GIF-XP240 is an ultra-slim flexible video gastroscope with a 7.7 mm insertion tube and a 140° field of view. At 7.7 mm it is one of the thinnest gastroscopes in routine use, which changes what is possible clinically: transnasal intubation becomes an option, and patients who cannot tolerate a standard 9-10 mm scope can still be examined properly. Angulation of 210° up and 90° down keeps retroflexion and targeting workable despite the slim shaft.
Each scope is inspected before dispatch for optics clarity, angulation, channel patency and insertion tube condition; image verification uses a compatible processor where available.
