Polymerization Type Solvent-Based Coatings Leveling Agent D-358N
(Analogue to BYK-358N)
First, introduction
D-358N is a new-generation polymerization type leveling agent, when used in solvent -based coatings and inks it can prevent the leveling and shrinkage problem caused by surface tension difference. Compared with traditional leveling agents, it has following features:
1. improve leveling, eliminate shrinkage and orange peel;
2. improve the gloss and brightness;
3. along with defoaming function;
4. wet the pigment box bottom material;
5. enhance the adhesive force between materials;
6. good compatibility with resins.
Second, application areas
D-358N applicates widely in all kinds of self dry coatings, baking paints, solvent-based systems and complex materials, including not only following areas:
1. volume just paint and can coating
2. two-component polyurethane varnish
3. amino industrial paint
4. UV-curable coatings
5. glass fiber wetting and avoiding the separation
6. car coatings

Forth, add method
Add directly and disperse at high speed in systems with nearly same viscosity or add after dilution by solvents.
Fifth, additive amount
For different purposes, the recommended additive amount is 0.3-1.5% of the total amount.
Sixth, package and storage
25kg or 200 iron drums
Stored in the unopened original package, temperature between 5-30℃, valid for one year, being reassessed when expired.
