The aluminum foil induction seal vent liner is a high-barrier, pressure-equalizing sealing solution developed specifically for oxygen bleach and color-safe stain remover bottles. It combines a durable aluminum foil layer for exceptional moisture and oxygen barrier performance with an integrated ePTFE waterproof breathable membrane window. This liner provides a robust electromagnetic induction seal that offers tamper evidence, prevents leakage, and protects sensitive bleach formulations from external humidity—all while continuously venting the oxygen gas that these products naturally generate. By keeping bottles pressure-neutral, it eliminates the dangerous bulging, cap blow-off, and splash hazards that plague conventional sealed bleach packaging, ensuring safe, visually appealing products that maintain full efficacy throughout their shelf life.
Oxygen bleach formulations, including sodium percarbonate and hydrogen peroxide-based color-safe stain removers, are inherently gas-generating products. As the active oxygen compounds slowly decompose—accelerated by elevated temperatures and contamination—they release oxygen gas continuously inside the sealed bottle. Standard airtight induction seals trap this gas, causing internal pressure to climb until the bottle distorts, the cap threads fail, or the seal itself ruptures, potentially causing hazardous product expulsion. Additionally, many of these products are sensitive to external moisture, which prematurely activates the oxygen release reaction. An unvented, moisture-sensitive package therefore faces a dual threat: destruction from internal pressure or degradation from external humidity. Bottles that bulge or leak on store shelves create safety incidents, regulatory non-compliance, and immediate consumer mistrust.
This aluminum foil vent liner delivers the best of both worlds: hermetic moisture protection and active pressure management. The aluminum foil layer serves as a near-perfect barrier against water vapor and oxygen ingress, preserving the stability of the oxygen bleach formulation inside. Simultaneously, the integrated ePTFE membrane window permits the continuous, controlled release of internally generated oxygen. The liner is induction-sealed to the bottle neck, providing a strong, tamper-evident closure that cannot be resealed. The ePTFE membrane is chemically inert and oleophobic, resisting degradation from the oxidizing environment and preventing liquid wet-out. This ensures the bottle stays perfectly flat-sided and safe to open, from the day it’s filled to the day it’s used up.

The liner is positioned inside the cap, foil layer facing the bottle mouth, and sealed under an induction sealing head. The aluminum layer melts the heat seal film, bonding the liner to the bottle neck. As oxygen gas is generated by the product, it encounters the ePTFE membrane window. The membrane's nanoporous structure allows gas molecules to pass freely while completely blocking the liquid bleach solution. The released oxygen escapes into the cap's headspace and vents harmlessly through the cap threads. External atmospheric moisture, which would otherwise degrade the oxygen bleach, is blocked from entering by the impermeable aluminum foil layer. When the consumer unscrews the cap, the intact foil liner provides clear tamper evidence before peeling away.
