The weldable ePTFE waterproof vent for car horns and alarm sounders is a rugged pressure equalization component specifically designed for the harsh, exposed mounting locations of automotive acoustic warning devices. It combines a durable thermoplastic body with a high-performance ePTFE waterproof breathable membrane, engineered for direct ultrasonic or heat-stake welding into the horn housing or sounder enclosure. This vent provides continuous pressure equalization as the horn's electromagnetic coil or piezoelectric element generates heat during operation, and as the device experiences rapid temperature changes from engine bay heat, rain, and car washes.
