HFM-500 hand and foot contamination monitor (β, γ type) is mainly designed for nuclear medicine departments in hospitals, as well as radiation control passages in nuclear power plants and nuclear facilities. It performs surface contamination monitoring on the hands and feet of personnel entering or exiting controlled areas, enabling timely detection of contamination and preventing its spread.

The instrument is also suitable for other departments using radioactive isotopes, making it essential equipment in nuclear radiation protection. It serves as a key safety measure for nuclear medicine departments, nuclear power plants, nuclear facilities, and other isotope applications to ensure safe operation.

Features

The instrument uses an array Geiger-Müller counter as the detector, characterized by easy maintenance, long service life, and high detection efficiency. Its operational status can be conveniently verified using radioactive check sources.
It adopts a one-step monitoring method for hand surface contamination, capable of measuring both the palm and back of the hand simultaneously.
In the event of contamination on the hands or feet, the monitor automatically triggers an alarm and indicates the exact contaminated area.
The entire monitoring process is fully automatic.
