SILK's Arctic Grade Cold Weather Excavator Air Filter is purpose-designed for excavators operating in sub-zero environments where conventional filters suffer from seal hardening, ice blockage, and cold-start failures. Specialized low-temperature materials ensure reliable performance from -50°C to +50°C.
Proprietary low-temperature silicone compound remains flexible at -50°C, preventing the seal brittleness and air bypass common with standard EPDM in extreme cold.
Water-repellent filter media prevents ice crystal formation within the filter matrix, maintaining unrestricted airflow even in high-humidity freezing conditions.
Low restriction design ensures adequate airflow during cold starts when engine oil is viscous and intake vacuum is high.
