Manual Starters Overview
Manual starters are manually operated devices designed for simple operation without requiring expert intervention. These starters feature a button or rotary knob that controls the connected equipment through mechanical linkages that open or close contacts to start/stop the motor.
Note: Manual starters do not break control circuits during power loss, which may cause automatic motor restart when power returns - an important safety consideration for certain appliions.

Starter Motor Operation
When the engine is activated (via stop/start button or traditional key), an electrical signal is sent to the starter solenoid. This component transfers power from the vehicle's battery to the starter motor, activating both the motor and the starter drive (Bendix gear system). The mechanism engages the vehicle's flywheel, cranking the engine to initiate combustion in petrol and diesel vehicles.
Once the engine is running, the starter motor disengages from the flywheel as the engine no longer requires electrical assistance.
