Starter Motor Operation
When the engine is activated (via button or key), an electrical signal is sent to the starter solenoid. This component transfers power from the battery to the starter motor, which engages the flywheel via a gear system (starter drive/Bendix). The motor cranks the engine to initiate combustion. Once running, the starter disengages automatically.
