Manual Starters Overview
Manual starters are devices operated manually, featuring simple operation without requiring expert intervention. The starter includes a button or rotary knob that enables users to turn connected equipment on or off. Mechanical linkages in the buttons make contacts open or close, starting or stopping the motor.
Note: This starter type doesn't break a control circuit during power loss, meaning the motor could restart automatically when voltage is restored - an important safety consideration for some appliions.

Starter Motor Operation
When the engine is activated (via stop/start button or traditional key), an electrical signal is sent to the starter solenoid. This component relays the charge from the vehicle's battery to the starter motor, activating it along with the starter drive (Bendix gear system). The electrical charge engages the vehicle's flywheel, cranking the engine to initiate combustion in petrol and diesel vehicles.
Once the engine operates correctly, the mechanism disconnects the starter motor from the gear and flywheel as the engine no longer requires the electrical spark to maintain operation.
