Product Description
CTP 2382706 oil control ring is the third oil scraping ring of CAT C7 engine piston ring group. It is installed on the bottom groove of piston, responsible for wiping residual oil on cylinder wall back to oil pan, preventing oil from entering combustion chamber and causing blue smoke and oil burning.
Damaged or fatigue oil rings will lead to excessive oil consumption, carbon deposit buildup and power drop. It is usually replaced together with compression rings, cylinder liner, piston and bearings in engine major overhaul.
