Structural composition

- Valve body: usually made of high-strength metal materials, it is the shell of the entire foot valve assembly, providing support and protection for the internal components. It is equipped with oil inlet holes, oil return holes and working ports, etc., to achieve the inlet and outlet and distribution of oil.

- Valve core: It is a key component for controlling the flow of oil. It controls the on-off of the oil circuit and the size of the oil flow by moving in the valve body. The material is mostly wear-resistant metal, and the surface is precision machined to ensure a good seal with the valve seat.

- Spring: Including balance spring and return spring, etc. The balance spring is used to maintain the balance of force when the valve core moves, so that the valve core can stably control the oil pressure and flow; the return spring returns the valve core to its initial position after the foot pedal is released.

- Rocker arm push rod: Connects the foot pedal and the valve core, converts the pedaling action of the foot pedal into the movement of the valve core, and is usually made of a solid metal rod with a certain length and lever ratio to achieve precise control.

- Damping chamber: It is divided into upper damping chamber and lower damping chamber. It controls the flow speed and pressure of oil in the chamber to buffer and stabilize the action of valve core, reduce vibration and impact, and make the operation of foot valve smoother.

Working principle

- Middle position oil return: When the walking foot valve is in the middle position, the oil circuit from the oil inlet is cut off, and the four working ports are connected to the oil return port through the internal channel to realize oil return. At this time, the excavator walking device is in a stopped state.

- Forward control: When the foot pedal is stepped forward, the valve core is driven to move through the rocker push rod, so that the oil inlet is connected to the corresponding working port, and the pressure oil enters the forward oil chamber of the walking motor, driving the walking motor to rotate forward to realize the forward movement of the excavator. The greater the pedaling force, the greater the valve core opening, the more oil flow, and the faster the walking speed.

- Backward control: When the foot pedal is stepped backward, the valve core moves in the opposite direction, the oil inlet is connected to another working port, and the pressure oil enters the backward oil chamber of the walking motor, driving the walking motor to reverse, realizing the backward movement of the excavator. Similarly, the pedaling force determines the backward speed.
