The 163-2478 (1632478) SEAL-VALVE is a key sealing component specially developed for Cat (CAT) C7, C9, C11, C13, C15, C18, C27, C32 series excavator engines. It is made of composite temperature-resistant sealing material through multiple precision processes. This product is mainly suitable for the matching part between the engine valve guide and the valve stem. Its core function is to prevent engine oil from entering the combustion chamber, and at the same time prevent high-temperature gas in the combustion chamber from leaking into the valve chamber, avoiding faults such as abnormal oil loss, combustion carbon deposition and overheating of valve components. Its structural design strictly follows Cat's original technical drawings. The sealing lip adopts a special arc profile, forming a tightly fitting sealing surface with the valve stem surface. The dimensional tolerance is controlled within ±0.01mm, which can directly replace the original parts without adjusting the installation structure. It is widely used in Cat series excavators under various working conditions such as mining, infrastructure construction and municipal engineering, providing core support for the efficient operation of the engine valve train.

It can withstand the instantaneous high temperature of 280℃ and continuous high temperature of 180℃ at the engine valve position, and at the same time resist the chemical corrosion of engine oil, fuel oil and combustion products. The material stability is far superior to ordinary seals.
Precision Sealing, Reduce Loss:The sealing lip is mirror-polished, with a surface roughness Ra≤0.2μm, and the fitting degree with the valve stem is over 99%. It effectively prevents oil from rushing up, which can reduce engine oil consumption by 15%-20%. At the same time, it avoids power loss caused by gas leakage and improves engine fuel economy.
Wear-resistant and Shock-resistant, Longer Service Life:Built-in high-strength metal skeleton enhances structural stability, which can withstand high-frequency vibrations during excavator operations and impacts from valve reciprocating movements. The wear resistance of the sealing lip is increased by 40%, and the service life under standard working conditions can reach 12,000 working hours, which is 2-3 times that of ordinary seals.
Convenient Installation, Good Adaptability:Adopting elastic installation design, no special tools are needed during installation, and assembly can be completed only with conventional wrenches. After installation, the fitting gap with the valve guide and valve stem is precise, and there will be no jamming or loosening, reducing the operation difficulty of maintenance personnel.

Temperature Resistance Range:-30℃ ~ 280℃ (instantaneous high temperature), -30℃ ~ 180℃ (continuous high temperature). It can still maintain stable sealing performance under the extreme operating temperature of the excavator without aging or deformation.
Sealing Pressure:≤5MPa, which can effectively withstand the gas pressure of the combustion chamber and the oil pressure, ensuring no leakage.
Surface Roughness:Sealing lip Ra≤0.2μm, improving the tight fit with the valve stem and reducing frictional wear.
Tensile Strength:≥15MPa, the material has excellent tensile resistance and is not easy to break or damage during installation and use.
Compression Set:≤8% (180℃×72h), can rebound quickly after long-term high-temperature compression, maintaining the sealing effect.
Medium Resistance:Resistant to mineral oil, diesel oil, ethylene glycol, high-temperature gas. No swelling, no cracking and no performance attenuation after immersion and contact tests.
Friction Coefficient:≤0.08, low frictional resistance with the valve stem, reducing the energy loss of valve reciprocating movement and reducing component wear.
Service Life:≥12,000 working hours (standard working conditions), and the service life under harsh working conditions is not less than 8,000 working hours.
