2.Sucking and transporting fuel: The fuel pump sucks the fuel in the fuel tank into the pump body through the inlet, and then transports the fuel to the subsequent fuel - injection components (such as high - pressure pumps or injectors) through the outlet under the action of internal mechanical structures (such as the rotation of rollers or gears). This ensures that the engine can obtain a continuous supply of fuel during operation to meet the fuel demand for combustion.
