Product Description
The fan clutch is a thermostatic engine cooling fan that rotates freely at low temperatures when cooling is not required, allowing the engine to warm up faster and reducing unnecessary engine load. As temperature increases, the clutch engages, and the fan is driven by engine power to circulate air and cool the engine.
Testing Procedure
For diagnosis, perform the following simple test: On an engine that hasn't been started that day, forcefully turn the fan. If the fan rotates more than five times, the clutch may be faulty. You should feel some resistance, and the fan should rotate no more than three times, depending on ambient temperature.
