A foldable house arrives on site already built and folds open into a usable building. Walls, roof and floor are hinged and pre-finished at the factory, so the on-site operation is closer to unfolding than to construction. It is the fastest route from delivery to occupancy in the container housing range.
Panels and sections are hinged to the structural frame and locked in the folded position for transport. When the unit is positioned, the hinges allow the sections to swing out and the floor to drop. Because the walls and roof are already finished and insulated, and the electrical installation is already run, the unit becomes weathertight as soon as the joints are locked and sealed.
