Mining Grade Soundless Cracking Agent HSCA Expansive Mortar 25-40cm Hole Spacing

Definition: Mining grade HSCA is a non-explosive rock splitting powder. Mixed with clean water and poured into 38-42 mm drilled holes spaced 25-40 cm apart, it hydrates into a controlled expansion pressure that fractures granite, marble, basalt and oversized boulders in 2-6 hours, silently, without vibration and without a blasting permit. It is the same static cracking chemistry used in concrete demolition, calibrated for harder rock and denser hole patterns in quarry and mining work.

Q1: Can I use HSCA in rainy weather?

A: Not recommended. Rainwater seeping into the holes dilutes the agent and weakens the expansion effect. Keep boreholes dry before pouring, and cover filled holes if rain is coming.

Q2: What is the recommended hole spacing?

A: Normally 25-40 cm between holes. Adjust to rock hardness: harder rock uses closer spacing. Hole diameter 38-42 mm, hole depth at least 80% of the splitting depth.

Q3: How do I prevent hole blockage?

A: Clean all rock dust and water out of the boreholes before filling, mix and pour quickly, and never use muddy water.

Q4: Is there a risk of blow-out?

A: Yes, improper operation may cause blow-out. Wear safety goggles and a face shield, never stand directly above filled holes, and follow the operation guide strictly.

Q5: How long does it take to crack the rock?

A: 2-6 hours, depending on rock type, temperature and hole layout.

Q6: Do I need an explosive licence?

A: No. HSCA is classified as an ordinary chemical powder, so no blasting permit is required.

1. Drill 38-42 mm holes at 25-40 cm spacing, depth at least 80% of the splitting depth, following the free face.
2. Blow the holes clean with an air gun; remove all dust and water.
3. Mix the powder with clean water to a pourable slurry, roughly 1.4 L of water per 5 kg of powder, and stir for 2-3 minutes.
4. Pour within 10 minutes, filling to about 15 cm below the hole collar, then stir gently to release air pockets.
5. Seal the hole mouth and cover with a mat; keep personnel clear of the area for at least 3 hours.
6. Always wear goggles, face shield and gloves, and never stand directly above a charged hole.
