Two Stage Extruder Machine
PVC cable compound double stage extruder is an efficient and reliable plastic processing equipment, which is widely used in the production of PVC cable material. This equipment is usually composed of two extruder units, the first stage is a twin-screw extruder, the second stage is a single-screw extruder. The twin-screw extruder is responsible for plasticizing, mixing and homogenizing the material, while the single-screw extruder is responsible for further plasticizing and extruding the material. This two-stage extrusion process can improve the plasticizing quality and extrusion efficiency of plastics.
The main features of the two-stage extruder include:
Typical application areas include the production of soft and hard PVC, such as PVC cable materials (insulating materials, cladding materials and base materials), shoes and soles, pipe and profile extrusions, injection molding materials, calendered films and floor sheet materials. In addition, it is also suitable for the production of crosslinked polyethylene and special mixtures, such as low smoke halogen-free flame retardant cable material (HFFR), elastomer cable material, XLPE (peroxide crosslinked polyethylene) and so on.
The working principle of the double stage extruder includes feeding, plasticizing, mixing and homogenizing in the twin screw extruder, open melt without back pressure feeding into a single screw while allowing for deaeration, soft extrusion of the material through the single screw extruder, granulation by air cooling or eccentric water mist pelletizing machine, and other pelletizing methods can be selected
