Heat Treated High Temperature Resistant Fire Retardant Reinforced Fiberglass Fabric Cloth

Product Description

 

Industrial thermal protection systems are rarely exposed to heat alone. In real-world operating environments, high-temperature fabrics may encounter direct flame, radiant heat, moisture, UV exposure, airborne contaminants, abrasion, chemicals, vibration, and repeated thermal cycling.
 
As a result, selecting a fabric solely based on temperature rating can lead to premature wear or reduced system performance. While the base fabric provides the foundation for thermal protection, coatings and surface treatments are often what enable the material to meet the specific demands of the application.
 
Whether the objective is improving fire resistance, reducing smoke transmission, increasing weather durability, enhancing abrasion resistance, or improving radiant heat performance, the coatings play a critical role in overall material performance.

 

High-temperature textiles such as fiberglass fabrics, silica fabrics, and specialty woven materials provide excellent thermal insulation and heat resistance. However, woven fabrics naturally contain openings between yarns and may require additional protection when exposed to challenging environmental or fire-safety conditions.
 
Coatings help modify the performance characteristics of the fabric without changing the underlying substrate.
 

Features

 

Excellent resin permeability: After removing wax, the fibers are exposed, allowing epoxy resin, silicone resin and other matrix materials to fully penetrate, significantly improving the dry and wet mechanical strength of the laminated board and avoiding delamination defects.

High temperature resistance and thermal stability: No organic wax residue, long-term use temperature can reach 300 ℃~500 ℃ (depending on the glass fiber model), instantaneous temperature resistance is higher, and no volatiles or carbonization are produced at high temperatures, with good dimensional stability.

High electrical insulation performance: no conductive impurities on the surface, stable dielectric performance, high breakdown voltage, suitable for high-frequency circuit substrates and high-voltage electrical insulation wrapping.

Clean and dust-free surface: After dewaxing and subsequent water washing treatment, the fabric surface is smooth, hairless, and stain free, reducing fiber dust and facilitating subsequent coating and laminating processes, resulting in a smoother appearance of the finished product. ‌‌

Color characteristics: After dewaxing treatment at 300 ℃~400 ℃, the finished product usually appears golden yellow or light brown, which is different from white or light yellow cloth that has not been dewaxed.

Chemical stability: retain the inherent acid and alkali resistance, corrosion resistance, non combustible characteristics of glass fiber, strong anti-aging ability, and long service life.

Processing adaptability: The texture is relatively soft (compared to untreated stiff fabric), easy to cut, sew, and punch, suitable for complex shape forming. ‌‌
