Product Description

The Lithium Battery Fireproof Bag is designed to safely store, transport and contain lithium-ion batteries, spare battery packs and portable electronic devices (PEDs). In the event of thermal runaway, the bag helps reduce heat transfer and provides an additional layer of protection against fire and cell combustion.

Originally developed for the aviation industry, the LithiumSafe Battery Bag is used by airlines, airports, battery manufacturers, laboratories and industrial operators worldwide. The lightweight design makes it suitable for carrying spare lithium batteries while supporting battery safety procedures during storage and transportation.

Applications include laptops, smartphones, tablets, cameras, power banks, e-cigarettes, battery packs and other lithium-powered devices. The LithiumSafe Battery Bag is available in multiple sizes and can be customized to meet operational requirements.

At the core of its sealing performance is a custom-developed industrial-grade gas-tight zipper, ensuring secure pressure retention and gas sealing under extreme conditions.

Because the sleeve is a separate component, it allows for greater operational flexibility—the fire bag can first be removed from the cabin, then inserted into the sleeve if smoke or off-gassing occurs. This modular approach reduces bulk during storage and simplifies onboard procedures.

Features

Extreme high temperature resistance: inorganic materials such as aerogel, rock wool or ceramic fiber are usually used, which can withstand 1000 ℃~1100 ℃ without melting and burning, and maintain structural stability.

High efficiency heat insulation: the thermal conductivity is extremely low (for example, the aerogel felt is as low as 0.013 – 0.025 W/m · K), which can quickly cut off the heat transfer to the adjacent core, and delay or prevent the chain type heat spread.

Toxic gas adsorption: Some composite fireproof bags have physical adsorption ability and can absorb harmful gases such as hydrogen fluoride and organic volatile compounds released by lithium batteries due to thermal runaway, reducing environmental pollution.

Buffer and insulation: It has certain elastic compression performance and can absorb the expansion force generated by the cycling of the battery cell; Simultaneously possessing high insulation strength to prevent short circuits caused by high-temperature conductive substances

Widely used for filling explosion-proof boxes in laboratories, insulation between power battery cells, fire isolation of energy storage cabinets, and lining of fire-resistant packaging for aviation transportation.

Space adaptation: Modern fire-resistant materials tend to be lightweight (thickness can be ≤ 2mm) to accommodate compact battery pack designs, but it is necessary to balance thermal insulation performance and mechanical strength. ‌‌
