Beam rack is a specialized warehouse shelving system designed for palletized cargo storage and retrieval. It consists of column sections (uprights) and beams, featuring a simple and secure structure. With high load-bearing capacity, extensive height adaptability, mechanical access, and high picking efficiency, it generally offers moderate space utilization.
The height of the beams used in beam racks can be adjusted, allowing the spacing between rack levels to change dynamically to accommodate varying cargo sizes, ensuring all items can be placed accordingly. This enhances inventory flexibility, facilitates convenient manufacturing, improves warehouse utilization, reduces lead times, and offers advantages such as interchangeable assembly and installation. The maximum deflection of beam racks should be less than 1/200 of the beam span, which can be analyzed and ensured through formula calculations. The structure and actual stress conditions of beams are relatively complex, and inaccurate calculations may either compromise the strength and rigidity of the rack, posing safety risks, or increase production costs. Therefore, beams are critically important. Factors affecting the load-bearing capacity of beams depend on the materials used and the specifications of the double C tubes selected for the beams. For the same 120mm double C tubes, a shorter length results in greater load-bearing capacity, with a 2-ton load capacity per level.
The application of beam racks is now widely used in industries such as electronics, home appliances, telecommunications, computers, instruments, furniture, apparel, automobiles, tires, supermarkets, and retail stores, as well as extensively in high-rack warehouses.
