Fast Connection PLC (Planar Lightwave Circuit) splitters use silica-based waveguide technology to divide optical signals with exceptional uniformity across all output ports. UnlikeFBT (Fused Bi-Conical Tap) splitters, PLC technology provides consistent split ratios regardless of wavelength, making these splitters ideal for broadband and multi-service deployments. The semiconductor manufacturing process ensures precision control of split ratios and minimal loss variance.
Each Fast Connection PLC splitter divides incoming optical power uniformly across 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, or 64 output ports with typical insertion loss of just 3.6dB for 1x4, 6.9dB for 1x8, 10.7dB for 1x16, 13.9dB for 1x32, and 17.3dB for 1x64 configurations. Uniform split ratios (typically ±1dB) ensure balanced power distribution to all subscribers.
Our Fast Connection PLC splitters are engineered for 20+ year outdoor deployments in the most challenging environments. Operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C accommodates extreme climates, while humidity resistance meets Telcordia GR-2852 requirements. The hermetically sealed package protects waveguide circuits from moisture and contaminants, ensuring stable performance over the product lifetime.
