Product Grades
V2O5 98% Flake
V2O5 98% is a widely documented metallurgical flake grade commonly used as the vanadium-bearing feedstock for ferrovanadium production. The downstream smelting process determines the acceptable Fe, Si, P, S and alkali-metal levels.
V2O5 99% Flake
V2O5 99% provides a higher minimum vanadium pentoxide content and generally tighter impurity limits than common 98% flake. The complete chemical specification should be compared with the buyer's ferrovanadium production requirements rather than selecting the grade based on V2O5 percentage alone.
Size and Form
Published commercial V2O5 flake specifications include fused flake form with maximum thickness of approximately 5 mm and maximum dimensions around 50 × 50 mm to 55 × 55 mm with low fine-material content where specified.
Applications
Ferrovanadium Production: V2O5 flake is used as the principal vanadium-bearing feedstock in ferrovanadium production.
Steel Alloying: Converted into ferrovanadium or other vanadium alloys for use in steelmaking applications including constructional steels, tool steels, and automotive components.
Vanadium-Based Materials: Intermediate for vanadium-containing master alloys and other industrial vanadium materials.
