Description
Graphite petroleum coke granules are a carbon additive that is produced by heating high-quality petroleum coke to extremely high temperatures (over 2,000°C) in an oxygen-free environment. This process drives off impurities and leaves behind a highly purified form of carbon known as graphite. The graphite is then crushed into small granules or powder, depending on the desired use.
As a carbon additive, graphite petroleum coke granules are used in a variety of industrial applications, including as a source of carbon in the production of steel and other metals, as an electrode in electric arc furnaces, and as a lubricant in high-temperature environments. The high carbon content and low impurities of graphite petroleum coke make it an ideal choice for these applications.
Graphite petroleum coke granules are also used as a fuel source in some industries, such as cement production and power generation. In these applications, the coke is burned to generate heat or electricity, and the resulting ash is collected and disposed of.
