Description
GPC is a carbon-based material produced from petroleum coke through a graphitization process. It is widely used as a recarburizer in steel and foundry applications due to its high carbon content and excellent carbon recovery properties.
Low sulfur content is desirable in recarburizers as it helps to minimize the formation of sulfur compounds during the steelmaking process, which can negatively impact steel quality. Low nitrogen content is important in recarburizers as excessive nitrogen can cause brittleness and other detrimental effects on the steel's mechanical properties.
