The chemical composition of TZM mainly consists of 0.50% titanium, 0.08% zirconium and 0.02% carbon.TZM alloy has a high melting point, high strength, high modulus of elasticity, low coefficient of linear expansion, low vapor pressure, good thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance and high-temperature mechanical properties.
It is widely used in military industry and other fields. For example, in the military field, it is often made of torpedo engines used in the valve body, rocket nozzle, gas pipeline, nozzle throat liner. In addition, because of its high melting point, it can also be used to make ferrous or non-ferrous die-casting mold materials and seamless stainless steel perforated plugs, such as engine molds on the copper rotor.
It is also widely made of plate, as a high-temperature structural materials used in high-temperature furnaces and hot isostatic presses.TZM alloys in the electrical and electronic industry applications, it is made of cathode, gate, high-voltage rectifier components, semiconductor thin-film integrated circuits and so on.
