As a recognized Molybdenum Foil Plate manufacturer, ZhenAn is proud to offer customers the highest quality molybdenum foil in thicknesses ranging from 0.08 inches (2 mm) to less than 0.001 inches (0.025 mm). Typical thickness of Pure Molybdenum Foil is 0.06 mm to 0.1 mm and is cold rolled on a 20-roll reversing mill.
All of ZhenAn's Molybdenum Flat Stock Sheet undergo various tests to meet customers' specifications. Mo Foil Characteristics
Molybdenum is used because of its extremely high melting point and relative flexibility. The melting point of molybdenum is 2,623 °C.
Molybdenum has a high elastic modulus; only tungsten and tantalum have higher melting points. When combined with steel and other metals, this bond gives the material high resistance to extreme temperatures and chemical corrosion. This property is useful when working with energy applications, reactive chemicals, high-strength motors, filaments, industrial molds, and more.
Typical applications of molybdenum are crucibles, evaporation boats, propulsion components, X-ray tubes, lighting industry, glass melting electrodes, high temperature furnaces, sputtering targets, radiators, heating elements, electrodes, stirrers, orifice plates, support members, mandrels , protective covers, sintering trays, filaments, furnace windings, thermocouple sheaths, nose cones, nozzles, nozzle plates, contacts, brazing jigs, boring bars, tools, thermal radiation shields, cathodes, aircraft and missile components and resistant High-temperature nuclear energy applications are critical.
