MECHANICAL COMPOSITION OF TZM ROD
Application:
Strength: As the temperature increases, the strength of TZM alloy rods usually decreases. This is due to the effects of grain boundary diffusion and material softening at high temperatures. At high temperatures, the growth of grains and the movement of grain boundaries lead to an increase in the plasticity of the material, thereby reducing the strength.
Ductility: As temperature increases, the ductility of TZM alloy rods generally increases. At high temperatures, the plasticity of the material increases, and grain boundary slip and grain boundary diffusion are more likely to occur, making the material more susceptible to plastic deformation and ductility.
Toughness: Within the appropriate temperature range, the toughness of TZM alloy rods generally increases. Toughness refers to the ability of a material to absorb energy before breaking. At high temperatures, the plasticity of the material increases and the mobility of the grain boundaries increases, allowing the material to better absorb impacts and bear loads, thereby improving toughness.
Creep behavior: TZM alloy rods may exhibit creep behavior at high temperatures. Creep is the plastic deformation of materials under long-term exposure to high temperatures. It is an important consideration for structures that are subjected to long-term stress or used in high-temperature environments.
