Ferrosilicon Description
Ferro silicon is made from quartzite and coke, which are heated and smelted in an electric furnace through a professional process. Ferro silicon is silvery gray in appearance with a metallic luster and can be processed into natural blocks, standard blocks, granules and powders according to requirements. Due to its rich content of silicon, ferro silicon is often used in the deoxidation process in steel making, for example in some low alloy structural steel, spring steel, bearing steel, heat resistant steel and electrical silicon steel.
